Abby and I chose to do the same tag. We chose "ENA" because our names start with an E and A, and because we both like science, so it kind of sounds like DNA. We both put in things that we both like in out project. We both put the same bubble design, Halloween, science and dog prints. Then we each put in out own things. Some of the things that I put in mine were, softballs, volleyball, Hawaii, and two different types of designs.
I did my presentation with Abby Bechtel. The theme we chose was Pablo Picasso. We learned about some of his background and we learned about his unique paintings. Picasso is a very unique artist and I hope you can learn something from our Prezi.
Click here for my Prezi Abby Bechtel and I did this project together. We made a picture of two girls combined into one face. First we put a line down the middle of the canvas to show the separation of the faces, then we drew the head and shoulders. After that we drew the facial features, then we drew the hair and added color to the face and hair. We looked up a quote on the internet then wrote it in black sharpie in the background. Lastly we colored the back blue. (Abby did the left face and I did the right face) Some problems that we had were trying to get the head a good shape and putting the line right down the center of the canvas. It took us a couple of tries before we got the line in the right spot. I am most proud of the quote in the background because I think it fits with the picture that we drew. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbRMCgtcchw First I thought about what I wanted to. I chose to do the 2D project and I'm going to draw a girl with a braid in her hair. The view of the picture is going to be from the back. Then I started looking up how to draw a braid on YouTube. I then practiced drawing the braid and then I added the body and head to the braid so that it looks like a person. After I finished my drawing I started to touch it up and make it as best as I could. Then I added it to final paper and shaded the back, then I was finished. This is my printmaking, first I drew my logo to get an idea of what I wanted my print to be. In my print I didn't carve out the volleyball or the music note because it was too small to carve. Then I got my linoleum block and the brayer to start cutting. The brayer is used to carve out the print. You have to trace your logo onto the linoleum block so that you know where to cut. Once you have your print cut out you can start using the printmaking ink. Make sure you use a stop block when you cut out your print so you don't cut the table and so your linoleum block doesn't move when your working on it. When you do your run of prints, they might not turn out well but the more you do, they better they are. I did 11 prints before I got one that I liked. This is my logo design. I put a softball in the middle because softball is my favorite sport. My name is on the side to show that it belongs to me. I also put a volleyball on the corner because I like volleyball, too. Up in the top corner I put a music note because I'm in chorus.
